Writing Reminders, Apologies, & Excuses

When you read the messages on the backs of old postcards, you will find many that say "please write," "I'm sorry I haven't written," "I'll write a letter soon," or words to that effect. Similar thoughts are often expressed on the front of postcards. The reminders outnumber the apologies and excuses, and the early cards are most numerous.

It can be fun looking for postcards like these. The postcards come in a variety of styles--from early arts & crafts mottoes to modern comics. Some are fairly serious, but most are humorous. Here is a sampling of various types and some of my favorites.
